To enjoy Pioneer’s most-requested recipe – follow the directions listed below!
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup pecans, chopped
- ¾ tsp – cinnamon
- ¾ cup – butter; room temperature
- 1 cup – sugar
- 3 each – eggs, large, room temperature
- 1 cup – sour cream
- 1 tsp – vanilla extract
- 2 cups — Pioneer® Original Biscuit and Baking Mix
- ¼ cup – butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Oil and flour 9”x13” pan.
- Prepare struesel – combine brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Add Pioneer mix, blend well.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle half of struesel over batter: Swirl struesel into batter with a rubber spatula.
- Bake 22-25 minutes. Sprinkle remaining struesel over cake; drizzle melted butter on top. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes more; remove from oven. Let cool.
